This product is an extremely rare Ertl tractor casting prototype made in the United States. It is customized and made of zinc/aluminum alloy with a silver color.

The product has errors marked on it in red, to tell the original tool and die makers what needs to be fixed before going to production.

The numbers on the inside indicate the different part models that this base could be used for.

It is stamped with:

Ertl

Dyersville, IA 52040

Made in the USA

The serial number of the tractor has been etched out because it was not fully complete.

My dad was a tool and die maker and company owner that did work for Ertl. He has saved a few of the early prototypes from different farm toys.
