Up for sale, is this awesome vintage 1968 Triumph Daytona 500cc (Model T100R) custom chopper motorcycle. I custom built this bike 45 years ago. A couple of the nicer features of the bike, is the heavily engraved engine, and the wide Paughco chrome springer front end. This was the first wide front end that Paughco made, and at the time was a special order, after I seen it on the cover of a chopper magazine. There is only approximately 10k miles on the engine since it was last rebuilt (as the bike was never really used very much, just a couple rides a year). The bike runs and drives very nice. To the best of my memory, the pistons are .30 oversized. Very easy kick starter, simply tickle the amal carb, give it one or two dry kicks without the ignition on, give it one more tickle, and it always fires right up cold. Warm starting is a simple single kick. As you can see, I ran a clean front wheel, with no front brake system. The back hub was laced up to a harley rim when the bike was built. I also had a custom made 2 into 1 single carburetor manifold, which comes out the left side of the bike. Very cool custom manifold. Also, I never put a speedometer cable inside the outer cable, after shortening the cable for the custom mounting, so the speedo has never been used. You will notice the speedometer is on the front right side of the seat. The springer front end is 9" over stock, and the original frame was completely custom modified to accomidate the springer and keep the frame level. Also, you can see that the custom frame was designed to keep the back suspension, for a soft ride. The bike also has custom forward controls. Another cool feature is the set of whitworth wrenches which are custom mounted on the sissy pole. I basically did all the work in building it. No matter what bike rally or show you go to with this, people always crowd around this bike. As you can see in the photos, the bike still cleans up very nicely, and still displays awesome for being 45 years old since it was built. The engine and frame numbers are a match, and the title is clear. The photos can tell you a lot about the bike, and I welcome any further questions.
