This antique doorknob was created in the mid-to-late 19th century by Hopkins and Dickinson. Pierce-cast bronze, it has a remarkable eightfold acanthus-leaf design. The crisply incised Italian Renaissance pattern continues over the edge and onto the back as well. The banded edge even has a delicate knurling. It's in very good condition with light wear and some verdigris on the back. This unusual doorknob would be a great addition to one's collection.
Antique Pierced Cast Bronze Doorknob measures 2 1/4" in diameter.
