Antique Victorian Mechanical Doorbell & Elegant Brass Twist Pat 1899
This sweet antique mechanical doorbell was manufactured in the late 19th century. The plain bell cover is cast iron with a somewhat worn nickel plating and the base is cast iron. The elegant twist is brass and has a cool speckled patina. The doorbell, which produces a higher-pitched repeating ring, is in excellent working condition and can be activated by twisting in either direction. Ready to be installed on your door, it's a very charming set.
Bell base measures 3 1/2" across. Twist base is 1 5/8" by 3 3/4". Rod which connects the bell to the twist through your door is 1 5/8", so will fit a door up to 1 1/2" thick.
