My daughter and I upcycle graphic and band tshirts (some new, some preloved) with authentic quilted Kantha fabrics to form poncho style pullover, closed sided boho and hippie art to wear. Our tiny business is called Mayized !
Each shirt is constructed by us. All tshirts and Kantha fabrics have been washed, softened and stored in our climate controlled, pet free area of our smoke free sewing and sale area. They all should be washed gently in cold water and hung to dry.
The Kantha quilted fabric is sourced from sellers in the USA and has been made from vintage Sari fabric so might have occasional loose threads, dye bleeds or other irregularities. Every one of our upcycles is unique and color coordinated.
We use the profits from sale of these upcycled fun shirts to provide food, shelter, flea control, spaying and neutering of the feral feline colony in our wooded neighborhood. My daughter works tirelessly to try to save lives and provide love for one furry kitty at a time.
This shirt began with a size medium Doja Cat black tshirt with multicolored neon graphic and we added a color coordinated Kantha in pink, gold, yellow and cream. The inside colors of the Kantha are turquoise and gold.
It has a 3 inch fabric fringe on bottom front and back of sleeves. It is free sized and will fit most. The total width is 42", Total length including fringe is 28 1/2". On outer edges of sleeves is a 10 1/2" armhole , then closed for 11" down to a side slit and fringe.
