Please do not hit the buy it now if you are not a serious buyer! Thanks in advance! 1957 XL Harley Davidson Sportster Chopper Rare 1st Year XL Matching Case number bike and a perfect unaltered vin. This as you probably know is pretty rare as I believe there were only 1100 or so 1957 XL's produced and it doesn't get much of a cooler base for a chopper than that. I have owned this bike for many years but it has mainly sat in the corner of my garage not getting ridden. I am doing a little de-hoarding and selling some of my bikes and parts. I have decided there is no sense in them not getting back out there in the wild. Make Sure you read my checkout requirements & Please make sure you are a serious buyer and come through if you buy it! Anyway I will point out some things about this cool chopper and check out the photos closely it has some really cool parts on it. Also went through it this week and did a little freshen up which didn't take much but changed fluids, fresh gas, new battery(it is a magneto bike that does not need a battery but the original owner that built it added one for brighter lights and electronics). This chopper kicks/starts easily not like your typical ironhead this one usually starts after a kick or two and runs good with no smoke or noises the engine is nice and tight and has a S&S B as the carburetor. I bought the bike years ago exactly as you see it now. The frame looks like maybe an old Jammer frame has a perfect chopper stance not sure the exact rake but kicked out nicely with a killer old school girder style springer on it with a couple of vintage Harley bandanas tied on as the front mud guard that actually work really good keep them on or remove them as you wish with cool old school square risers and drag handlebars and a spool type spoke wheel, also has a chromed hex Cheatah style sissy bar that looks really good and the chrome is perfect and a king & queen two up seat, sounds great with upswept fishtail pipes and has a octagon chopper oil tank that looks perfect on it and a Harley peanut gas tank. The front tire has good tread but it does have some dry rot on it, I recommend changing this before any highway riding or riding it at any high speeds. This is one cool bike that runs good just needs to go to a home that someone will ride it and enjoy it.

I require a $300 non refunable deposit through eBay paid within the first 24 hrs. of the auctions end and the balance due within the week. The balance must be paid via cash in person, certified check or bank transfer. If you are paying certified check I prefer a Bank Of America or Wells Fargo certified check but am open to others but if at all possible please get one of this two as they will clear quicker for pick up. PayPal is Not Accepted for final payment at all! If you are having the bike shipped that is totally fine and expected for most people but you must arrange and pay for it and please if you are shipping get on arranging it in a timely manner after the close of auction. International bidders are also totally fine with me  and have sold many bikes overseas through the years just please stick by the same time frames on payment and pick up and or shipping.
