No sales outside of 50 US states. Remington 700 Action Wrench Tool is oiled bare steel so minor superficial rust may be present. If this is a concern we recommend that you apply some kind of coating or surface finishing.
The wrench is designed to fit a Remington 700 and is only guaranteed to fit a Remington 700. If another action shares the same round obstruction free outside diameter of approximately 1.348" (+-0.010") then it will likely fit, but we do not accept returns because you want to try it on an action it was not designed to fit. Please reference dimension-ed drawing provided in the photos for fitment inquirers.

The wrench is designed for disassembly. Some of the reasons
this wrench would not work for alignment are. The recoil lug pocket is made
oversize to accommodate a variety of aftermarket lugs so that alone would
prevent it from aligning the lug correctly. Also the wrench would have to be
much larger in order to span from the 1/4" hole to past the front of the
action to capture the recoil lug. The last reason we do not offer an external
wrench for assembly is because it can cause torque inaccuracies between the
action and barrel depending on how tight
the wrench is.
Having a ¼” hole in the wrench also makes it very tempting
to use to gain additional gripping force on stubborn assemblies. It is quite
common for the ¼” threads in the action to get damaged from this type of side
loading.
Against our recommendations some customers choose to use the
wrench for assembly and accomplish this by indexing the wrench so that the side
of the recoil lug pocket that will be applying torque is touching the edge of the lug when it is in the correct position. With some slight care this is a fairly quick
and straight forward process.
The proper tool for assembly is an internal action wrench
that rides in the raceways and allows for the use of a torque wrench. This also
leaves the outside of the action unobscured so a recoil lug alignment fixture
can be bolted to the receiver if desired.
Also an internal action wrench should not be used for
disassembly as the additional torque required to break assemblies free
(especially factory ones) can easily deform and damage the raceways.
