Spruce Top with Mahogany Back and Sides!
This is really Cool. You are looking at a 2000 Taylor USA 314 Acoustic Guitar. X-Bracing. This wonderful grand auditorium-style guitar was the 66th guitar made in the El Cajon, California, plant on August 1, 2000, according to its serial number (200008011031) and the Taylor website. The Spruce Top with mahogany back and sides of this 314 and the purity of the Taylor sound will make other musicians turn around to check it out, but it will be its ability to make almost anybody who plays it play better that will make you love it.
As the Taylor site says, “The Grand Auditorium 314 is a perennial favorite with singer-songwriters and light-to-medium strummers. The pairing of mahogany back and sides with a spruce top yields a tone with a strong, clear midrange presence, while the spruce top adds warmth and a bit of overtone bloom that suggests an older, played-in guitar. With the addition of Taylor’s X-bracing, the overall voice responds with more power and volume.
This Taylor 314 is an Awesome Playing, Sounding and Looking Guitar. A real workhorse that is easy and fun to play. A great overall solid used guitar that is just a pure pleasure to play.
Our luthier did a complete setup. Brand new strings were installed. Gig ready on Arrival!
Due to CITES Treaty for Endangered Wood (Mahogany, Rosewood) We no longer ship out of the USA.
Cosmetics: Excellent Condition. A small scratch just below the bridge and a indentation on the upper bout right where your arm rests on the body. You have to look real hard to find it. The Top is very clean. The Back is very clean, but there is one area where the finish is lighter. (See picture #11). Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock in great shape. Original Taylor molded plastic Hard Case has some scuffs and scratches. All latches work. Interior in fine shape. Overall, a very solid used guitar that is nearly mint if not for a very few minor items.
