DEBRA BOUDREAU is a Southern California fabric artist who transforms ordinary garments – like denim jackets – with embellishments, applique, stitching, buttons, medallions, semiprecious stones, milagros, charms, and vintage elements so that by the time she's done, you have fabulous wearable art!
I bought several of her jackets a few years ago, as she was clearing out her studio in order to move to Arizona. Alas, I haven't worn ANY of them. I just have too many jackets and the Los Angeles climate is just too warm for much outerwear.
This jacket was made to enter an art show in conjunction with the KING TUT exhibit back in 2005 – it's perfect for attending concerts, art exhibits, book signings, or picnics, or parties. Sure to garner compliments everywhere you wear it!
