The CDJ has been designed to be compatible for wear with the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform, fleece pullover and lightweight cold weather underwear.
The Combat Desert Jacket (CDJ) is the most comfortable, lightest weight, windproof soft shell jacket made for desert operations. It is intended to provide Marines increased protection from the unique environmental challenges of the desert.
A high performance fiber system made with 99.9% pure silver safely inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi in the garment without added unnecessary weight.
Only routine care is needed to keep the garment functioning at its peak levels and extends its life.
The Combat Desert Jacket (CDJ) is made with a lightweight, water-resistant fabric that is designed with strategically placed stretch zones for increased flexibility and mobility. Multiple fabrics have been customized for use in specific areas of the jacket to maintain a high level of protection and comfort during changing desert environments. A moisture-wicking lining and highly breathable fabric reduces heat stress during the day and helps maintain a steady core body temperature at night. The Combat Desert Jacket also includes n-IR signature-reduction technology that is durable for the life of the fabric.
