Attractive 2002 Tacoma DM-18 acoustic guitar with gig bag. Tacoma guitars are known for being wonderful playing and superb sounding instruments that were made in the USA with many amateur to pro level player endorsements ., Unfortunately These are no longer in production, so what is available for sale is all there is and the rest are deeply buried in collections. This one has a wonderful Sitka spruce top soundboard with an amber toning to it, surrounded by herringbone inlay, mother-of-pearl inlaid around sound hole, faux tortoise binding around body, beautiful all solid premium Honduras mahogany for the back and sides, mahogany neck, Rosewood fretboard and bridge, Tacoma branded tuners. As common with most Tacoma instruments there is the presence of finish delamination as seen in the pictures on the side bouts mostly, but the top and back look nearly untouched, the multiple pictures show the effected areas, what’s amazing about this instrument is the very low comfortable pro level action at the 12th fret 2 to 3 mm. With a laser straight perfectly angled neck. There is plenty of bridge saddle available, and a fully functioning truss rod, to note there is in front of the sound hole, above the very highest frets a 3 inch tight line that appears to be a humidity related crack issue as seen in the pictures, it does not go fully thru and no movement with pressure, inside a small well positioned cleat was added for security, it’s a cosmetic issue and does not affect the tone or playability whatsoever. This guitar is 24+ years old so you know that the premium vintage tone woods have had plenty of time to improve in which case is why the tone on this guitar is so wonderful(it could use a fresh set of strings). Whomever wins this guitar likely knows Tacoma guitars history and desires a piece of it, this one will last many many years. The Frets are wonderful as seen in the picture. It’s a real keeper.
