OOAK Magnolia Boho Upcycled Shirt Fringe Lace Appliques Frida Indie Artwear Women's Size Large
I take pre-owned items and give them a new life as wearable art, complete with a hangtag that I have made, making them perfect for you or a unique gift to give that special someone.
This 100% cotton shirt has been remade into a stylish magnolia boho, indie style top. You could wear it with a shirt under it, as a light cover up jacket or by itself. I make all the patches myself, so you will never find anything like this, it is truly one of a kind.
On the back is Frida, surrounded by vintage doilies and screen print ink swallows that I have painted, then heat set it to make it last. Screen print ink is soft and does not get hard like fabric paint. On the front, the pockets have been removed for distressing and adding the floral appliques, which came from vintage material. A whimsical homemade art patch has been appliqued on. Two inspirational quote patches have been added: "Create your own sunshine" and "Bloom where you are planted". The bottom has a cotton fringe, and the arms have vintage lace and a doily sewn on. The point of the lace on the arm falls to the side when you're wearing it, this way it stays out of the way. Sometimes, when they hang from the bottom, you catch them on everything. So, I moved them to the top. A crochet lace trim has been added around the edge. There are raw edges, and some will fray more over time. This shirt generally falls just below the waist.
