Authentic vintage Miller kerosene heater / oil lamp burner — a charming piece of early American lighting and heating history from the Edward Miller & Co. of Meriden, Connecticut. This heavy-duty galvanized tin and brass unit features the iconic embossed "MILLER" logo with a smiling sunburst design on the burner cap, along with "THE MILLER CO. MADE IN U.S.A." stamped on the brass wick adjustment knob.

Measuring approximately 8 inches in diameter at the base and standing about 5 inches tall (as shown next to the measuring stick in the photos), this compact heater was designed for practical use — providing focused warmth and light in small spaces like workshops, cabins, brooders, or as a hand/foot warmer. The large round galvanized tin reservoir holds kerosene, while the ornate brass burner with scalloped edges, ventilation holes, and flip-top hinged design allows for easy wick access and adjustment. A wire bail handle makes it easy to carry when cool.

Key Features:

  • Heavy galvanized tin fuel tank with visible wear and patina consistent with age
  • Brass burner assembly with sun/moon-style logo and decorative scalloped rim
  • Functional wick adjustment knob marked "THE MILLER CO. MADE IN U.S.A."
  • Wire carrying handle and small vent screw
  • Chimneyless design typical of early portable kerosene heaters
  • Approx. dimensions: 8" diameter × 5" tall

Condition: Good antique condition with honest age-related wear. The galvanized tin shows surface rust, scratches, dents, and patina — typical for a 100+ year-old piece. The brass burner has a nice aged bronze patina with some oxidation. The mechanism appears complete; the wick wheel turns, but functionality (wick draw, flame height) has not been tested. No major cracks in the tank, though there are minor dings and surface imperfections as visible in the photos. Sold as a display/collector piece — cleaning and a new wick may be needed for use.

This is an untested vintage item from a Wisconsin estate. I cannot confirm authenticity beyond the clear markings and construction, and there is no paperwork or provenance provided. Perfect for collectors of antique oil lamps, farm primitives, or early 20th-century heating devices. Great conversation piece or addition to a kerosene lamp collection!

What's Included: The complete heater as shown (tin reservoir + brass burner assembly + wire handle). No fuel, wick, or other accessories.
