This antique American Wooden Glove darner is a unique addition to any sewing collection. Crafted in the 1860's  this wooden glove darner features a Stanhope with 4 clear images of the Catskills Mountains, New York including Pine Hill looking North, Pine Hill looking South, New Grand Hotel, Rip Van Winkle House. It is an original antique piece in excellent condition.


A stanhope or stanho-scope is an optical device that enables the viewing of microphotographs without using a microscope. They were invented by René Dagron in 1857.


This darner is perfect for anyone who appreciates vintage sewing tools and wants to add a rare piece to their collection. Excellent condition.
