If you're looking for a simple yet entertaining game that does not involve a screen of any kind, try Tabletop Ninepins! This solid wood set was made in the USA by Cooperman Fife & Drum Co. in Centerbrook, CT for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. The pieces (nine wooden pins and two wooden balls) are all in excellent condition and do not look as though they have been used, but the box is not in good condition. It looks as if it has been squished, it is dirty inside and out, and there is a rip in one corner (see photos).

The top of the box provides this bit of history: "In colonial Virginia men and women of all classes enjoyed the popular pastime known as ninepins. The game proved to be an amusing distraction as early as 1636 when young William Ward received a reprimand for testing his skill at ninepins instead of watching the cows. Similar accounts and print sources served as the basis for this set of tabletop ninepins."

The side of the box has directions for how to play.

Each of the pins is 5" tall x 1" in diameter. The balls are about 1 3/4" in diameter.
